Things are going to get worse before they get better. Resin is horrible sticky stuff and fibre-glass never stays where you want it to. This week we are making a damn fine mess. There will be time to worry about the finish. There is much to be done before we get to that.

The tail is really starting to come together. It’s been sanded, shaped and glassed with two layers of four ounce. It’s strong too, which is the main concern. Feels like it could take a hit. We need that.

I’m still working on the other dings. Slowly sanding and patching. I’d say it’s a third of the way there. Which I feel pretty positive about. There is no rush. When a project is complete it is, alas, no longer a project. Best not to rush a mess. Just let it consume you.
